"Nissan Forklift, for more than fifty years, has been a global provider of high performance forklift and material handling equipment. Under the Nissan Forklift brand , it produces engine-powered and electric-powered forklifts, including cushion forklifts, pneumatic forklifts, pallet stackers, pallet trucks, order selectors, reach trucks, and tow tractors. Until 2013, Nissan Forklift Corporation was a wholly owned subsidiary of Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. In 2013, Nissan Forklift Corporation changed it’s name to UniCarriers Americas and became a subsidiary of UniCarriers Corporation, a new company entity partially owned by Nissan Motor LTD.

The History of Nissan Forklift
Nissan produced its very first forklift truck in 1957. In 1961, via an assembly line in its Japanese Totsuka Plant, Nissan began the mass production of forklifts under the company Shinnikkokukogyo Co. Ltd. Nissan was manufacturing its forklifts for U.S. distribution by 1965. In 1988 it acquired Barrett Industrial Trucks Inc. of the United States to begin local manufacturing of its forklifts inside the U.S. Nissan expanded its forklift business into Spain with the establishment of Nissan Motor Ibercia S.A in 1989. Nissan Forklift Corp. in North America officially opened in 1993, merging forklift manufacturing and sales activities. By 1995 it formed a new Spanish entity for its forklift business with Nissan Forklift Espana S.A., after separating from Nissan Motor Iberica. A similar situation precipitated the establishment of Nissan Forklift Europe B.V. after it separated from Nissan Europe N.V. In 2000 Nissan announced an alliance with another large Japanese manufacturing heavy weight, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. In 2002 it also opened Nissan Forklift in Shanghai, China. In October 2007 Atlet AB of Sweden joined the Nissan Group." - https://www.forkliftsystems.com/nissan-forklift/
